Beautiful Day in NC

Fall is here.....its beautiful...I love this weather! Since the weather has been so lovely I have been walking everyday on a 3 miles trail in Eden. Yesterday Amber, Lexie, Charlie, and I went, today Amber, Joann, Brandon, and I went, its been great! I love walking on this trail, its in the woods but paved and flat. Last week we saw a deer grazing, I will post more pictures soon so you can enjoy the nature as much as I am.

(The deer are starting to come out...there everywhere!!! So being cautious while driving at night is a must!)

Also today Vador, Charlie and I went and meet a new Vet. She isnt Vadors red head girlfriend from OK but she is really good. I am relieved to have found such a great Vet so quickly!! Vador has an ear infection and Charlie had to get her rabies shot. (Charlie was ewwed and awwed over alittle to much, I think it went to her head) I also scheduled her to get fixed on the 12th. Lexie just got lucky she wasnt due for anything. I found out some interesting things and met alot of dog lovers. Just in case you need to know the fleas around here are really bad, were going to have to put the Advantage on every 3 weeks not 4!

Happy Fall!!

AT&T

I hope no one works for this company because I have had nothing but bad experience with them. It seems our account was flagged so they would make my life miserable! This last year I have spent dealing with AT&T on issues that should have never happened. Now they have done it again, and we dont even have there services! After 4 hours on the phone yesterday, I think it will be resolved but I will have to wait for Monday to be sure. We will never again use them!! I am sorry if you work for this company but then again if you do please call me.

Charlie and Ginger

My name is Charlie, I am a whole 16 pounds and a goat and donkey herder. This is my friend Ginger, she is sorta temperamental, but I am warmer up to her. She has kicked me out of her field before and talks to me if I get to close. But I think in a few weeks we will be best friends.

To Be Continued.......

Let the games begin.....

Last night we went to Austin's soccer game for North Stokes. It was a great night to be outside but unfortunately they lost!

We were also introduced to Milley. She lives right up the hill from the schools fields, and she comes down to visit every game. She is the unannounced school mascot, of course she comes for the attention and food.

Exofficio

This is a random but hopefully useful post for men. Nate has found a new "love" its called Exofficio. He wanted me to share this because he is addicted to this product. This is a product line that has all sorts of clothing items, but Nate has found that their boxer briefs are a life saver! He says these are the best underwear for guys who get chafing. But quality comes with a price because these are not cheap like Haynes. They have cost us about $25 each!! Nate has had one pair that we washed and he wore everyday for 3 weeks. They are still just as good as new!! (Well you know what I mean) I have attached the link to there website, just in case you want to check out there products. I hope to not be advertising underwear in the next post!

In other news.... Nate had is P.O.P.A.T test today, which is a physical and mental test for officers. He finished in the top 10 which is a huge accomplishment since this was the beginning assessment. I am so proud of him!! And for you curious minds, he did have on the Exofficio underwear and it sustained!

OH and just for the record, we have now bought him more than one pair of underwear!! But this is a great Christmas gift idea MOMS if your reading this :)

Story time

My time has been occupied with reading the book THE HATCHET, with Brandon (Nates cousin) who is a Freshman. He did NOT want to read for his english report so I made a deal, that I would read the book with him. So far this encouragment has helped, and just so you know, I think he is actually enjoying the book. So today I have caught up on my reading. (If anyone has read this book and would like to give me a quick rundown, I would appreciate it)........I hope Brandon doesnt check the blog! I am just kidding, its not a bad book, its been an easy read, but is geared more for the male interests. In between reading that I am reading FLIES ON THE BUTTER, its a Christian book with a good moral to the story. Its more my style!

In other news, Congrats to Katie and Ryan for the arrival of their new addition Olivia Ryan Isenberg. We wish them lots of love!

Labor Day=Flea Markets

We got up at 4:00 am yesterday to go to Hillsville, VA to a huge annual Flea Market. They expect 500,000 people to come every year, which is Friday-Monday!! And no thats not a typo its really 500,000!!! It was about an hour and a half drive from here through the mountains of Virginia( I am sure the name Hillsville didnt give that away to you)! It was alot of fun, and was worth the early morning alarm. We couldnt believe the amount of booths and stuff for sale! We did get some good things, but due to some of the items being Christmas presents, I am not able to list them. They just might be yours! Thanks to Joanne for telling us about this event and going with us!

Better late than never....

Our computer is finally up and running. So now I can post pictures of the weekend trip we took a few weeks ago to Banner Elk, NC. Banner Elk is a ski town up in the mountains, we hope to go back this season and snow mobile! We took the kids and had a great time exploring!

We hiked a 2 mile trail to a secluded waterfall area. (I would not have worn flip flops had I known we were going to do this)
It was a nice afternoon and everyone enjoyed playing in the water....

We also went to Mast General Store, its an old style country store that had lots of fun stuff to look at. Plus they had a full candy store, you could get any candy you could think of. Of course we got a bag! Nate did some rainbow trout fishing, and the highlight of the trip for me was the blueberry patch that we found, that was 10 acres, and we picked 2 gallons of blueberries. (Yes the fruit bat in me came out)

Finally, we drove to Grand Father Mountain, where the largest Highland Games Event is held in North Carolina. Nate is so excited, he cant wait to go next year!
