Spring has sprung.....

Yes thats right SPRING is here in Oklahoma! My delay in posting has something to do with that. When I get home I just cant seem to sit down at the computer after sitting all day on one. I just want to be outside!! We have been doing all sorts of projects and have many more planned. I will post pictures soon of us digging in the dirt. Until then I hope everyone is enjoying the weather!!

Oh and for those of you who havent heard my Hubby has been transfered to the OKC yard, which means he is home more often than not!!! They still cover Texas and all of Oklahoma so some nights they are out on a job site but definatly wont be gone 3 weeks at a time! Thank you everyone for your prayers!

Week 2....

Well we are starting week 2 of Nate being in PA so its time for another to do list!!
1) Work out (lots)
2) Make friends dinner that just had a baby
3) Clean my parents house (yes they are paying me) :)
4) Start a new book
5) Hopefully spend time working in the backyard since its suppose to be warm all week

I am hoping this week is easier....it has to get better right??? Thankgoodness for Skype...it is nice to see his smiling face!!!
Thank you to all of my wonderful family and friends that I spent time with this last week. Again if your looking for someone to eat with or hang out with CALL ME!!!!

To do list.....

For those of you who dont know, Nate started a new job with an oil field company on Monday. The only problem is its in Pennsylvania!! He works 3 weeks on and 1 week home. Its a great oppurtunity for us and him so we are making the best of it. To keep myself busy I have created a to do lists for each week. This weeks agenda consists of finish moving in my mother in law(Yes.... Tina has moved in with us), organize the house, decorate, and clean! I am already working on next weeks plan to stay busy! Its day 2 and I already miss my hubby like crazy! Its harder than you think.....I just am praying for strength! To my friends.... please call me! I am available for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack....ANYTHING! :) Thankfully we have 3 furry friends that keep me company at night. Vador is the biggest cuddle bunny of them all! Keep us in your prayers....and really CALL ME!!!

Music has arrived

My good friend April showed me you can add music to your blog!! I love music but am the worst at knowing artist names and the songs they sing. So this might be a slow process of me finding and adding my favorite songs, but hope you enjoy listening. If you suggestions please let me know!!! :)

Catching up...

We had another snow storm on Wed but thankfully was not as bad as the week before. We have been busy shoveling snow and wiping the 12 paws that live in our house! Nothing else to exciting has happened...I know what a disappointment!!

Since I dont want to let you down, I will share with you the story of Lexie and the squirrel. We have TONS of squirrels that live in our backyard area. They spend there days taunting the dogs while running across fence tops and power lines. Well this Alvin (ok, I know he was a chipmunk but you get the point) had one to many laughs! Lexie finally caught one and was VERY proud of her accomplishoment!

Kinect=Good times

Nate got an Xbox Kinect for Christmas!! Which for those of you who dont know, its a video game which you are the controller, no strings attached. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/kinect

A couple weeks ago our friends The Isenbergs came over and helped us try it out! The pictures say it all! We had so much fun!

Love Dare

Part of my New Years Goal was to become closer to God, so far I am feeling like a success! I started reading The Love Dare, which was generated from the movie Fireproof. This book was created to help bring marriages closer together in Gods purpose. Since I have started this book I have come to realize the thoughts/tasks in it can be applied to every relationship in my life. So as Ive started through this book Ive decided to not only allow it to build a more Godly foundation in my marriage but in my friendships, family, and any other person I come into contact with. I am taking it slowly and praying about each chapter to see how God wants to me use that in my daily life. I must say its starting to make some real changes in me!! I hope that anyone who is reading this blog knows how much you mean to my life and how thankful I am for each one of you!!

Stomach bug has struck

Be very thankful if you have not had the stomach flu! Nate and I were both struck Sunday with this horrible virus. Thankfully we have 2 bathrooms in our house. We will probably not be inviting any of you to eat for the next week or so! I promise to have a happier story later this week after we recover.

I bet you think I repeated myself on the title of this post. No I am not losing my mind at age 26 (yet). We have been dogsitting Charlie (Lexie's real sister) for the last 2 weeks.

We had a lot of fun and lots of playing time! I think Charlie and Charlie are new best friends! We loved having her and hope she will come back soon!! Until then........We have some zzzzzz's to catch up on......

Welcome 2011 and back to the blog!

Hey Everyone! Happy New Years and welcome to the re-opening of our blog!! The new year brings a list of resolutions or what I prefer to call GOALS for most people. Its really a love hate relationship for me because who honestly can say they have kept up or completed all of the goals they set on Jan 1st? This year my goals are simple, which hopefully will enable me to be one of those few people next year who can brag about succeeding. I am including my list at the bottom of this post so hopefully those of you (the small group of you) that are reading this will help me be a sucess and make sure I stay on track! I hope you are as excited as I am about The Hankins blog being back up for your entertainment. I promise to not let you down again and hopefully provide you with some good laughs at our life over time!
